The opening of the new car showroom raised hundreds of pounds for charity. Sytner MINI Oldbury opened their new MINI showroom at the end of March and used the opening to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Customers took advantage of a charity car wash and visited the showroom to purchase raffle tickets and enter a free prize draw. There was also children's entertainment including face painting and a stilt walker.
Carl Harris, brand manager of Sytner MINI Oldbury said: "With the support of local businesses and our customers and staff, we were really pleased to support Macmillan by holding our fundraising weekend which resulted in us raising £1,120 for such a worthwhile cause. We chose Macmillan because we all know someone who has been touched by cancer and this was a great way to help raise some funds to support Macmillan's services in the area."
Sharon Battersby, fundraising manager at the charity, added: "I would like to say a massive thank you to Carl and all the team for all their hard work and enthusiasm in raising such a great amount of money for Macmillan which will play a significant part in improving the lives of people affected by cancer. The activities that took place have not only helped us fundraise but also raised awareness about the charity and our work."
